Tough times; but it is a mere pause.....
It has been a tough year, but let’s think of it as a pause in our lives, and now it is time to hit the reset button and get things back on track. Let’s not forget the tough times and the sadness that went with it, we can take time to reflect and remember, but all businesses are now trying to get back to where they once were, and my small business is no exception.
I have struggled to keep motivated, but with brighter prospects on the horizon, I am moving forwards with an optimistic mind.
Studio work is about to start - my studio has had a total re fit while on Lockdown and I have painted some new backdrops, and I am pleased to say that the diary is filling up nicely. Through these bookings I hope to build positive relationships and hopefully this will lead to new doors opening and new opportunities.
I really feel that the last year has been time to take stock and I have practiced self-care leaving behind those who dragged me down. I have improved my health by walking and running and this helps create a healthy mind.
So with all that has gone in the last year, for me I feel the time is right to draw a line under it and progress onwards and upwards. I am reviewing my portrait, beauty and fashion photography and in 2021 I want to include more diversity in my portfolio. I want to work with various age groups, ethnic groups and those with darker skin tones. I am planning more location shoots as this is something that magazines like and so hopefully this will lead to more magazine publications.
So let’s not forget 2020, but let’s park it now and move forwards into 2021, pick up the pieces and help each other get out businesses going again, though working together and building relationships.
