Onwards and Upwards.......

Lockdown has been hard, but for some it has had a positive effect, allowing us to spend more time with our families, changing our normal daily routines and engaging in a better work/life balance. Some of us have gone back to old school entertainment and started to play board games and do jigsaws, and some of us have been creative through arts and crafts.

It has been a time for reflection, thinking about the past and planning for the future. For myself I have been focusing on getting my photography business working more productively. My website has had a revamp and I can now offer training and commercial work for businesses wanting to get their businesses back on track after Lockdown. I have also been updating my portfolio and I have worked with some amazing models, studio and on location, all Covid Safe. It is a different way of working but with planning it can be done. I also recently finished a Bridal Campaign that I started in January and I am pleased that some of these have been published.

Goal planning is important but these goals must be achievable - if you don’t know where to start, try weekly goals. In this way achieving them gives you a sense of fulfilment and we can then progress forwards.

However, never lose sight of the fact that you need to live life for the moment and there are times when you just need to act on impulse and do what feels right for you at that time.

My plans for my next shoots are continuing and I am looking forward to completing them. I will be expanding on my training and I will be offering couple lifestyle shoots, something I am very excited about. AndI have some personal projects I want to do for my own portfolio.

Planning is important for development but you must invest in yourself and what you want; that is why alongside my business planning I still embark on personal projects.

Live every day at its best; but have a game plan and some idea of where you want be in the future.
